Christmas Spirit

Some years its harder for me to get the Christmas spirit here in Texas.... I am originally from Wisconsin where snow and cold weather are abundant. There is something not quite right about decorating for the holidays and hearing let it snow in the background while wearing shorts and sweating.... We went to one of the many trail of light shows last night, this one had a sense of humor so way more fun....

Since we are self employed my hubby rarely is able to take a whole day off, sometimes I think thats why we get along so well hes never home. anywhooo... this is what the day before Thanksgiving consisted of........

Just when you think Noone ever listens.........

Most of the time I am the first one to complain to my family you dont listen, you never listen to what I say. This week I have had to eat those very words numerous times.

Example one: Alexis proved that she listens to me when as we were driving through the parking lot at HEB- she very sweetly yelled out the window and I quote" just cause your 60 damn years old doesn't mean you don't have to watch where you are going"

Example two: As my wonderful hubby finishing his explanation of the finer points of balancing the checkbook (and I mumble under my breath I was off 45 fucking cents for gods sake) Alexis says daddy mommy said a bad word about you.

Example three: hubby comes home from a trip to Home Depot with the 2 exact flowers in pots you were drooling over a week ago.

I guess they do listen..... just selectively

WHEW !!!! The bash is over mostly picked up, hubby went to work since he didn't work all day he figures he will work most of the night ( self employment aint all its cracked up to be) its 8:00 pm no matter what time the blog time says it is. The bash was fantastic all though no funny pics, everyone was so well behaved-usually I get some blackmail photos out of the adults, I suppose since it was Sunday afternoon people just behaved.All though.... hubby did ride one of the bigger ponies, hiho silver away and such.The trampoline was put together in the nick of time...took hubby and 3 buddies to get-er-done. So here it is pics from the bash.

Well its 8:20 pm on sat night the party is at 1:00 pm tommorow.and the trampoline is only half together. I have the proffesional trampoline set er upper on stand by with his # speed dialed in my phone.

Countdown to Birthday Bash #7

Its two days away from Alexi's Birthday Bash, we usually have around 60 people friends from school, family and general friends. For Chris its just an excuse to bring out the grill and shoot the sheettttt.For me bring on the frozen margarita machine... wooohoooo !!!( Now don't think I'm drinking while the party stuff is going on while we play games, cut cake,open presents and ride ponies(shhh she doesn't know were having ponies) I am the epitome of the perfect mom...but after the school friends leave. heheheh bring on the booze.....I have spent the last week cleaning the house from top to bottom,washing curtains cleanin the tub and shower in the guest bathroom, hell I even cleaned out the drawers and cabinets in the guest bath,I dont have a medicine cabinet for people to snoop through but the cabinets and drawers are perfect opportunity.
I gave serious consideration to stocking the drawers with adult condiments you know.... edible undies,vibrators,go goo,porno mags ... hehehehe but then thought well shit if the hubby finds that stuff he will be gettin idears and such and I needs my sleep there aint no way I can put out for a week straight. ok ok I know way to much info sorry folks.
Anyways keep checking back the big bash is sure to bring on some funny pics and such....for that matter the hubby and a buddy are fixin to put together the trampoline and if its anything like the swing set episode of two years ago we may be calling a professional.

Not been blogging

I havent been blogging, its seems I dont have anything to say....... that is at least remotely interesting and or amusing. I talked to my best friend Rhonda this morning she is the one who inspired me to start blogging,if you have ever read her, Rhondas blog,or Led beside Still Waters she always had something that was worth reading!! She no longer blogs, I sure miss reading her though.



Is anyone out there feeling the stress of the holidays yet? Boy, I sure am, now dont get me wrong I love the holidays and all the stress/hustle bustle/ ho ho hoing. Last year I was sick and wound up in the ER and hospital for christmas day and the following week , So I feel this need to do it up right this year. But..... my wonderful hubby has decided that this is the year we become debt free..... ummmmm yea right............... lets see make a meal for 14 this Thanksgiving on a budget of 40.00 (can you say beenie weenies?) ok decorate a 2 story house inside and out on a dont buy any new decorations budget. ok lets see umm remember that fudge you like so much when I make it, and those cookies?? yea sorry not in the budget what you say?? well maybe we can wait to go out of debt after christmas.... you think???? men
